Carly holds a diploma in anatomy and physiology and a British Sign Language (BSL) qualification. Carly has been employed by Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust Radiology Department for 5 years, first as a healthcare assistant and then as a Radiology Administrator. Her responsibilities included booking appointments for MRI, CT, gynaecology, paediatrics, obstetrics, and HSG in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to agreed protocols, and meeting national diagnostic waiting times. Carly was involved in a range of administrative services, including supporting the Business Support Coordinator/Personal Assistant and the Office Manager. Carly assisted in scheduling appointments and has a thorough understanding of referral to treatment (18 weeks RTT), 6 weeks diagnostics, and urgent 2 week waiting lists..
Carly previously co-managed a Stay and Play group and a family business, where she acquired a variety of skills such as managing bookings and meetings, creating rotas, and monitoring budgets. With this vast knowledge and excellent patient experience, Carly helps to enhance patient care at UUD and accounts for every aspect of the patient’s overall experience, creating an accountability culture that relies on staff to detect and handle patients’ concerns before they escalate into more significant problems.
Carly is selfless and her passion for working in the health sector was influenced by personal experiences. She believes she can make a difference.
