At the heart of everything she does, she puts patients first and her faith in God, which shapes Universal Ultrasound Diagnostic’s values and the way she leads. This deep sense of purpose empowers her to guide her team with empathy, integrity, and strength. Lydia is passionate about delivering care that truly makes a difference, always treating patients with dignity, respect, and compassion, and going above and beyond to ensure they feel valued and supported.

Dr Moti Chowdhury

Dr Moti Chowdhury

Consultant Radiologist

Dr Moti Chowdhury is a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist with nearly 30 years’ experience caring for children and young people. He has worked in leading children’s hospitals in the UK and Australia, including Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He is currently the Lead Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and brings specialist expertise in children’s diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, interventional radiology, nephro-urology imaging and vascular anomalies.

Advanced Sonographer

Andrew can perform the following ultrasound scans for adults and paediatrics (children) - abdominal, gynaecology (pelvic and fertility), small parts such as breast, thyroid, testicular/testes/scrotal, lumps & bumps, and some vascular scans such as assessing for DVTs in the lower limbs.

Andrew is a member of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) and has volunteered and participated in several study days and CPD programs organised by the society. He is also a member of the Ghana Society of Radiographers (GSR), Ghana Association of Registered Medical Sonographers (GARMS), the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and Radiology Across Borders (RAB), where he continues to learn and improve on his practice.

Practice Manager

As the Practice Manager, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice. From the very first point of contact, she is dedicated to creating a welcoming, organised, and responsive environment for both patients and staff.

With a strong background in IT, Emma has streamlined key administrative processes — particularly appointment bookings and patient communications — making the experience as seamless and stress-free as possible. Her proactive approach and attention to detail help maintain high standards of service, supporting clinical teams to focus on delivering outstanding care.

Emma’s combination of technical expertise, organisational skills, and warm professionalism makes her an invaluable part of the team and a trusted point of support for patients throughout their journey.

With her extensive knowledge and unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, Carly plays a vital role in enhancing the overall experience at UUD. She is deeply invested in every stage of the patient journey, ensuring that each individual feels valued, heard, and well supported.

Carly champions a culture of accountability across the team, encouraging staff to proactively identify and address patient concerns before they escalate into more significant issues. Her leadership helps to foster an environment where high standards are maintained, and continuous improvement is embraced.

Adult Nurse

Nancy assists adult patients with personal care needs, ensuring dignity, comfort, and repositioning as necessary to prevent complications such as pressure sores, maintains accurate, detailed patient records, including care plans, nutritional charts, bowel movement logs, and vital sign documentation. To meet NHS care standards, supports patients in de-escalating stressful situations and overcoming challenges with empathy and professionalism. Works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers to deliver holistic care tailored to adult patients’ needs. Advocates for adult patients by promoting their preferences and best interests while adhering to NHS trust policies and NMC guidelines.

Assistant Sonographer/Ultrasound Assistant

Amtul plays an important role in supporting both patients and the clinical team, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice. From welcoming patients and acting as a chaperone to assisting sonographers during examinations, she is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and reassuring environment for every individual who visits the clinic.

With over seven years of experience in the healthcare field Her strong clinical knowledge, combined with a compassionate and professional approach, enables her to provide excellent support throughout the patient’s journey. Known for her friendly nature, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills, Amtul works closely with colleagues to maintain high standards of patient care.

Bart currently works as a sonographer at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust on a part-time basis and works for Universal Ultrasound Diagnostics as a part-time sonographer.

Bart is a hardworking, dedicated and highly motivated HCPC-registered Sonographer and Diagnostic Radiographer with over 12 years of clinical experience across acute, trauma, transplantation, and community healthcare settings within the NHS and independent sector.

Ultrasound Assistant

Clara, one of our Ultrasound Assistants, is compassionate and dedicated to her job, with years of experience providing person-centred care to elderly individuals and children with complex needs, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges in supported living and home settings. With skills for building therapeutic relationships, she delivers high-quality care tailored to individual needs while remaining calm and effective under pressure.

Clara brings excellent patient-centred care skills from her current part-time role where she is providing care for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and dementia who require support to function independently. She ensures the safety and well-being of patients both inside and outside their homes.
