Clara Mujuru

Clara, one of our Ultrasound Assistants, is compassionate and dedicated to her job, with years of experience providing person-centred care to elderly individuals and children with complex needs, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges in supported living and home settings. With skills for building therapeutic relationships, she delivers high-quality care tailored to individual needs while remaining calm and effective under pressure. She is committed to continuous learning, as she strives to enhance her skills to ensure she consistently provides exceptional support and care.

Clara brings excellent patient-centred care skills from her current part-time role where she is providing care for adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health challenges, and dementia who require support to function independently. She ensures the safety and well-being of patients both inside and outside their homes.

Her duties also involves assisting with personal care tasks, including washing and dressing, administering medications and monitoring compliance to ensure proper treatment, managing domestic duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying, preparing and serving meals, as well as assisting with feeding when necessary, maintaining effective communication with patients and their families to ensure collaborative care, offering emotional support to patients and their loved ones, safeguarding vulnerable individuals to protect their well-being and collaborating with other agencies involved in the care of patients.

Her special skills include expertise in personal care and continence care, proficiency in PEG feeding and nutritional support, strong ability to support physical and emotional needs, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations, and a team player with a desire to help others

Clara previously worked for Rocomamas Fourways in South Africa as Front of House Manager where she excelled in her role, particularly her excellent customer service, a transferable skill that Universal Ultrasound Diagnostics embraces.
