Nancy works at Universal Ultrasound as a Nurse carrying out phlebotomy services and other duties in line with her professional practice. She brings her patient care expertise to our services.
Nancy is a qualified Adult Nurse who has more than 5 years of experience working in the NHS and Care Homes. She works as a key NHS team member on Stroke, A & E, and AMU wards, at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital demonstrating resilience and flexibility, especially during COVID.
Her expertise include administering medications, drawing blood, wound care, ensuring compliance with NHS protocols for patient specific care plans , conducted comprehensive clinical observations, including blood pressure, oxygen saturation, temperature, ECG, and Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), and promptly escalated concerns or deterioration to the medical team.
In Nursing Care homes, Nancy monitors residents' health and well-being, recording vital signs, nutritional intake, and any changes in condition, reporting concerns to senior staff, provides emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a safe and nurturing environment, supports mobility and physical well-being by helping residents with repositioning, transfers, and mobility aids, reducing the risk of falls and pressure sores, administering basic care routines, including feeding assistance and ensuring hydration, in line with individual care plans, supports end-of-life care, providing comfort and dignity to residents and emotional support to families during difficult times.
Nancy assists adult patients with personal care needs, ensuring dignity, comfort, and repositioning as necessary to prevent complications such as pressure sores, maintains accurate, detailed patient records, including care plans, nutritional charts, bowel movement logs, and vital sign documentation, to meet NHS care standards, supports patients in de-escalating stressful situations and overcoming challenges with empathy and professionalism, works in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, physiotherapists, and social workers, to deliver holistic care tailored to adult patients’ needs, advocates for adult patients by promoting their preferences and best interests while adhering to NHS trust policies and NMC guidelines.
